Extended SETI (E-SETI) managed to prove that it's 100 sure there are intelligent life in other worlds, and they might be post-physical just as E-SETI scientists predicted.
E-SETI was a project undertaken to prove or disprove the assertion that extraterrestrial life exists. In the project, scientists were placed with certain instruments, which would be used to see how they behaved when they believed themselves to be under extraterrestrial observation.
This was to check how they would react if aliens were to make contact with them, and how they would react if they came across aliens (with or without a radio).
In a first of its kind experiment, E-SETI was successful in making contact with a possible alien life-form, which was confirmed to be a post-physical life-form.
E-SETI Experiment - SETI II
E-SETI II was a second attempt at this test. However, E-SETI II didn't seem to work out because we were unable to confirm the existence of aliens, but the scientists did experience a "change" in their consciousness as well as "a new sensation".
Scientists:
Peter Tinnitus - University of Alberta
Dr. Michael Michaud - University of California
Dr. Andrew Klimczak - Massachusetts Institute of Technology
Cindy Sherman - The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee
William Hartmann - Harvard University
Bruce Cathie - MIT
Dr. Ravi Borgal - SETI Institute
Dr. Eric J. Barron - Harvard University
Bruce Farr - University of Wisconsin-Madison
Dr. Philip Lubin - University of California
E-SETI II results were published in the Astrobiology Journal. (http://astrobio.ubc.ca/Astrobiologys_Journal/5/2/2002/5/2002_4.shtml)
