The 405 freeway has had a successful run, ferrying immense amounts of people and commerce. However, Los Angeles officials have decided to remove this iconic roadway and replace it with a roller coaster spanning its entire length. To commute to work, riders will have to buy a ticket and strap in. The ride will only stop at each exit for a few seconds, requiring the passengers to throw themselves from their seats over the side.
Locals are happy with the idea, as they are tired of sitting in motionless vehicles on the freeway, and would prefer to be going through loop-de-loops early in the morning. The maintenance on this structure will be paid for by selling "Fast Passes" for commuters to skip the line.
There is also talk of adding a smaller rollercoaster alongside the first for children who are not tall enough to ride the main track.
