High speed chase through Weirton ends in totaled car and a dui

Nicholas Anthony Jones, 18, of Weirton, WV took Weirton police department on a dangerous chase through the city early this morning around 2:30 am which ended with the driver crashing his car into a field then taking off on foot. The suspect was taken into custody and was suspected to be under the influence. After searching the vehicle over a pound of marijuana, and open bottles of many different alcoholic drinks were retrieved. The suspect is now in Northern Regional Jail with a set bond of $20,000.
